My favorite scenes are ones where R2D2 is quietly saving the heroes by shutting down garbage mashers, or delivering Leia's pleas for help, or any of the thousand things he does -- usually with C3PO nervously handwringing at his side! R2 fan!

My favorite part of the entire saga is a scene near the end of "Return Of The Jedi". Luke is hiding from Darth Vader, and Vader is trying to lure him out to confront him. Vader senses Luke's emotions through the force, and discovers that Luke has a twin sister. Vader uses this information to taunt Luke, telling him, "If you will not turn to the dark side, then perhaps SHE will..." Upon hearing this, Luke comes screaming out of the shadows, and he attacks Vader with such vigor and hatred, driving him back until finally he forces Vader to the ground, cutting off his hand as Vader did to Luke in the previous film.

During this scene, the music score swells in a minor key, and a beautiful, and mournful, chorus of male voices swells with it... as if the entire Force is crying out for Luke to stop, to relent, to not follow his father down the dark path...

That amazing piece of music gives me goosebumps every time I watch the movie or hear that portion of John Williams' amazing score. In the twenty-six years since the movie has been out, and hundreds of times I've heard it, that scene has never failed to give me the chills. It's one of my favorite moments in all of cinema... the scene just works so well and it's so wrought with emotion that it's just overwhelming. I would absolutely love to see this performed live by an orchestra!

I have always loved the ORIGINAL version of the Ewok "Yub-Nub" song at the end of Return of the Jedi. Why they replaced it with that new age sounding cheesefest in the redux, I will never understand. Same with the original version of the Tatooine canteena scene.

But the most memorable/meaningful thing to me is the dynamic between Luke and his father, Darth Vader. Particularly because I am virtually living that dynamic (trying to remain strong against the dark side).

So true... “Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealously. The shadow of greed, that is.” - Yoda

My favorite quote is the Ewok's "Yub Yub".

My most fond "Star Wars" memory is making a clay Yoda sculpture in a high school art class.
