The reasons for choosing one champion over another are varied, maybe even somewhat random, for instance in terms of timing. I have been hanging out on a movie fan box office predicting site, and I can tell you the tribalism is both intense and often nonsensical. People don't want Twilight to do as well as Harry Potter, people want Michael Jackson to do better than Miley Cyrus, etc. What is the difference between Harry Potter and Twilight? None really, but don't say that or you may start a riot. True story. As a Miley Cyrus fan, I told my co-workers I was going to support Miley and see Hannah Montana: The Movie. They ridiculed me and said the movie was for kids. So I asked them what movie they were planning on seeing, and they said, exitedly, and without irony, Transformers! Since there were more of them than me, I didn't feel it was the time to break it to them that Transformers is about Toys!!! P.S. Miley Rocks!
